ABOUT  SCHOOL

The Primary school in Budovatelov  Street is a state school which was founded in 1967. The school has been attended by children aged from 6 to15. Education is free of charge and compulsory.

Since 1983 the school has been specialized in teaching languages.According their abilities the pupils in 3^rd grade are allowed to choose English or German as an extra subject. In their 5^th grades all the pupils must elect a foreign language – English or German, also Russian and French are available.

In 1994 the school joined the project Schools Supporting Wellness and in 1997 the project Step By Step.

In the year 2000 we  started international cooperation with schools in Germany/Gotha/ and Sweeden  /Munkedal/ within the Socrates programme, where our school focuses on Environmental protectoin and the culture of our region.

In 2001 The Mnistry of Education loaned to our school a title of honour and since then the school has been named Alexander Dubcek Primary school.
